Entry level and teaching arrangements

Entry level: For the N3 group, N4 level is recommended; for the N2 group, N3. Please confirm your target level and exam date.
Course materials: N3/N2 graded vocabulary and grammar, reading and listening training books, and mock papers.

Course outline

Four connected learning modules

The outline is organized by progression of ability. Teachers adjust the density of practice to how a class is doing, while stage goals and core content stay the same.

MODULE 01 · Diagnosis, vocabulary and grammar

Weeks 1–2

Teaching content: Ability diagnosis, core test points, nuance and error classification.
Classroom tasks: Diagnostic paper; summary of test points; a personal plan
Homework and unit checks: Vocabulary and grammar sets; diagnostic feedback in week 2

MODULE 02 · Reading speed and structure

Weeks 3–4

Teaching content: Timed methods for short, medium, long and information-search texts.
Classroom tasks: Timed reading; marking up paragraph structure
Homework and unit checks: Reading sets; reading mock in week 4

MODULE 03 · Listening strategies

Weeks 5–6

Teaching content: Task, key-point, quick-response and integrated comprehension.
Classroom tasks: Predicting options; keyword notes; continuous listening
Homework and unit checks: Listening sets; listening mock in week 6

MODULE 04 · Mocks and final adjustment

Weeks 7–8

Teaching content: Full simulations, data review, focused improvement and exam pacing.
Classroom tasks: Full mock; data analysis; adjusting strategy
Homework and unit checks: Redo missed items; build a personal pre-exam checklist

Course outline

Assessment schedule

Assessment is spread across the term rather than saved for the end, so both teacher and learner can see progress while there is still time to act on it.

Week 1: diagnostic.
Week 4: reading mock.
Week 6: listening mock.
Weeks 7–8: full mock and individual feedback. N3 and N2 use separate papers, groups and criteria; passing the exam is not promised.
