Entry level and teaching arrangements

Entry level: Candidates for A2 or B1 need the corresponding overall level and a confirmed exam date.
Course materials: DELF A2/B1 graded task books, an analysis of the marking criteria, speaking cue cards and mock papers.

Course outline

Four connected learning modules

The outline is organized by progression of ability. Teachers adjust the density of practice to how a class is doing, while stage goals and core content stay the same.

MODULE 01 · Exam diagnosis

Weeks 1–2

Teaching content: Level confirmation, criteria, individual gaps and a training plan.
Classroom tasks: Sit a diagnostic paper; analyse a sample script; open a personal error file
Homework and unit checks: Classify your errors; skill-by-skill diagnostic feedback in week 2

MODULE 02 · Listening and reading strategies

Weeks 3–4

Teaching content: Prediction, locating, paraphrase, verification and timed work.
Classroom tasks: Practice by question type; timed reading; listening notes
Homework and unit checks: Complete listening and reading sets; half mock in week 4

MODULE 03 · Speaking and writing tasks

Weeks 5–6

Teaching content: Interaction, viewpoints, letters, short texts and focused feedback.
Classroom tasks: Rotating speaking tests; timed writing; peer marking against the criteria
Homework and unit checks: Speaking recordings and writing revisions; speaking and writing mock in week 6

MODULE 04 · Mock exam and review

Weeks 7–8

Teaching content: A full simulation, scoring discussion, error review and final planning.
Classroom tasks: Full mock; individual feedback; final adjustments
Homework and unit checks: Redo missed items; build a personal pre-exam checklist

Assessment schedule

Assessment is spread across the term rather than saved for the end, so both teacher and learner can see progress while there is still time to act on it.

Week 1: diagnostic.
Week 4: half mock in listening and reading.
Week 6: speaking and writing mock.
Weeks 7–8: full mock. A2 and B1 use different materials and marking criteria; passing the exam is not promised.
