Course outline

Entry level and teaching arrangements

Entry level: Completion of KR-2 or roughly TOPIK level 2 recommended; those targeting level 4 should have a stable intermediate command.
Course materials: TOPIK II listening, reading and writing task books targeting levels 3–4, plus mock papers.

Course outline

Four connected learning modules

The outline is organized by progression of ability. Teachers adjust the density of practice to how a class is doing, while stage goals and core content stay the same.

MODULE 01 · Diagnosis and language knowledge

Weeks 1–2

Teaching content: Level diagnosis, high-frequency vocabulary and grammar, task map and plan.
Classroom tasks: Sit a diagnostic paper; set up error categories
Homework and unit checks: Vocabulary and grammar sets; diagnostic feedback in week 2

MODULE 02 · Listening and reading

Weeks 3–5

Teaching content: Purpose, main ideas, details, text order and timed strategies.
Classroom tasks: Practice by question type; listening notes; timed reading
Homework and unit checks: Listening and reading sets; listening and reading stage mock in week 5

MODULE 03 · Writing focus

Weeks 6–8

Teaching content: Sentence completion, chart descriptions, opinion structure and draft feedback.
Classroom tasks: Chart-based writing; expanding paragraphs; feedback draft by draft
Homework and unit checks: Two rounds of writing revision; timed writing exam in week 8

MODULE 04 · Full mock test

Weeks 9–10

Teaching content: Complete simulation, score analysis, error grouping and final pacing.
Classroom tasks: Full mock; skill-by-skill review; individual reinforcement
Homework and unit checks: Redo missed items; build a personal pre-exam plan

Course outline

Assessment schedule

Assessment is spread across the term rather than saved for the end, so both teacher and learner can see progress while there is still time to act on it.

Week 1: diagnostic.
Week 5: listening and reading mock.
Week 8: timed writing.
Weeks 9–10: full mock and individual feedback. Task difficulty is adjusted for a level 3 or level 4 target; no fixed grade is promised.
